A Volunteering Experience

Last summer I volunteered at an animal shelter.

The reason I did this was that I love animals very much.

I spent a few hours there every weekend.

I fed the dogs and walked them.

Some animals had been abandoned by their owners.

This made me very sad.

But I was happy that I could help them.

Over time, I also became friends with the people at the shelter.

We organized events together.

Thanks to these events, many animals were adopted.

Volunteering taught me patience and empathy.

I also felt that it gave meaning to my life.

I recommend this experience to everyone.
